Music Street got it's start in 1985 by Lon Wright, former road rep and repair tech from The Music Store in Marshall. Originally in the Market Street Mall, after two years, Music Street moved to Downtown Marshall. From the beginning, Music Street has placed an emphasis on music education, serving school music programs throughout Southwest Minnesota. 

 

In 2024, longtime employee Zach Haltvick purchased the business. 



Over the years, Music Street has become well-known in Southwest Minnesota for it's rent-to-own program and instrument repair. In addition, Music Street carries the wide selection of guitars, amps, digital pianos, accessories, and sheet music.
